| Yay! I had four midterms scheduled for this week. I finished two, and I was in the midst of cramming for my third and fourth midterms when a massive plumbing problem in our building began. Since I was working, I had the pleasure of sending out an email to all the students telling them that classes were cancelled. It totally felt like an April Fool's joke, except that it isn't. Woohoo...no work or class tomorrow or Friday! AWESOME! |

| A long time ago, I hated my hard contacts. I would blink all the time. Dust would always go in my eyes. Sometimes they would shift out of place and it would take long, excruciating minutes to pop them back in place. I thought those days were behind me...
But today, I was putting changing out of my pjs when my left contact lens popped out. At first I was worried that it had popped out of place so I inspected my eyes in the mirror. No contact lens. I searched on the floor and the surrounding area, but it was nowhere to be seen. I didn't have that much time to look for the contact lens because I had to leave for school so I decided to use the extra set of contact lenses that I had brought to China. I've already used the extra right lens because I found a crack in my other one. So, luckily, the extra one I had was the left one.
I popped the left one in and did a cursory search of the right lens to make sure it was the right one that was cracked and not the left. I couldn't find the crack but I thought it was because I wasn't looking carefully enough. I went down to eat my breakfast, but noticed that my vision in the left eye was blurry when i looked far away. I thought that was a little odd, so I popped it out and rinsed it off and put it back. Usually that clears up the problem.
On my drive to school, I kep comparing my left eye to my right, and it never cleared up. That's when it all came together. The reason why I couldn't find a crack in the right lens was probably because this was an old pair of contact lenses and not my most recent prescription.
So here I am at school, wearing two different contact prescriptions. Yikes...I hope I survive the day without getting a headache. I guess that's what happens when you're not careful enough to check the prescription. *sigh*
